Abstract

Background: Well formulated fluoride toothpaste is clinically proven to prevent and control dental carry. They may also be a risk factor in the etiology of dental fluorosis. Three factors that have an important influence on the anti carries efficiency of fluoride toothpaste. To assess the awareness of fluoridated toothpaste among dental students

Aim: to study the awareness of fluoridated toothpaste among dental students

Materials and methods: The sample population  used for the study for the purpose of this study  is 100. A self structured questionnaire was prepared and uploaded on google prepared and uploaded in google form. This standard questionnaire was circulated among the study population and at the end of the survey all the data was collected and the analysed with chi square analysis the chi square analysis was done using software ibm spss version 23.

Result: (26.62%) reported they brush their teeth for 2 minutes.  (39.57%) reported they brush their teeth for ½  minute or less.61.87%) reported they buy based on taste. At the end of the survey all the data was collected and the analysed with chi square analysis the chi square analysis was done using software ibm spss version 23.

Conclusion: The majority of the individuals expressed the opinion that the main effect of fluoride was to strengthen the teeth more teenagers than older participants did not know the effect of fluoride in toothpaste and more thought that fluoride ‘made the teeth whiter’
