Abstract

Background: Bibliophobia is an unusual phobia of books.It can be broadly defined as the fear of books but also referenced as fear of reading books in public. It creates the mental health problems with cancer potential to significantly interfere with individuals daily functioning and overall quality of life of the individual.

Aim: To assess the prevalence and quality of life towards the bibliophobia among dental students

Materials and methods: A cross sectional survey was conducted among the dental students in saveetha university.excel sheet is used and SPSS software V21 was used for statistical analysis. Pie charts and crosstabs are used in the survey.

Result and Conclusion: The study among dental students about the bibliophobia shows that the students of the dental college majority of them were not affected by the bibliophobia.
