PREVALENCE OF ECOPHOBIA AMONG UNDERGRADUATE DENTAL STUDENTS - A QUESTIONNAIRE SURVEY

Abstract

BACKGROUND: Ecophobia is a feeling of powerlessness to prevent sudden environmental change and also some definitions for the term ecophobia is a fear of one’s home surroundings.

AIM: To record the prevalence of ecophobia among dental students.

METHODS:-A questionnaire of 15 was made in google forms and was surveyed among dental students (undergraduate) to test their knowledge on ecophobia and sample size of 100 were recorded, 50 male and 50 female undergraduate students participated in this study and age including 18-25 with an average age of 20.

RESULT: For the following questionnaire was analysed by chi-square test in spss software and significance was considered p< 0.05.

CONCLUSION: The current survey shows a moderate prevalence of ecophobia among dental students and its significant negative effects on quality of life required prompt identification and treatment.
