Abstract

A mandibular fracture in paediatric patient can cause significant pain and the parent or caregiver extreme stress. While the pattern of fractures in children is comparable to adults, however, due to a number of circumstances, including the anatomical complexity of the developing mandible, therapy of such fractures differs from that of adults and can considerably challenge the paediatric dentist. There are several treatment options for mandibular fractures, including closed/open cap splints with circum mandibular wiring, arch-bar fixation, and cap splint cementation. This case report represent management of mandibular symphysis fracture in a 2.5 year old paediatric patient.
