Abstract

Supreme Court of India has always contributed a copious amount of scholarly work in different bodies of knowledge. Judgements of the court are filled with literary works. Different facets of life come before the court for adjudication. The court always demonstrates a sympathetic approach to decide matters concerning varied dimensions of life. Literature becomes a handy tool to cement the sympathetic approach towards life with the rigidity of legal logic. The authors here discuss and analyse a few rape judgements of the supreme court in the light of dominant literary theories.
