Abstract

Human health and well-being are one of the most important and pressing topics. The World Health Organization's aim of a 25% reduction in premature mortality from noncommunicable diseases by 2025 will be met only if secondary prevention of CVD is implemented successfully. Addressing secondary CVD prevention effectively will have a significant impact on health outcomes as well as the accompanying economic burden. Finally, this article discusses the relevance of secondary cardiovascular disease prevention and widely given therapies for high-risk patients.
