Abstract

Cesarean section or cesarian birth has become significantly more prevalent in recent years, and it is now the most common abdominal surgery. However, because it is surgery, there are certain side effects such as pain, reduced mobility, and psychological discomfort. The abdominal binder is one of the non-pharmacological methods for dealing with the above-mentioned c-section issues. These binders are worn by women who have just given birth. After conducting research, we can conclude that abdominal binders are beneficial in greatly lowering pain, that those who wear abdominal binders have more mobility than those who do not, and that postpartum discomfort is significantly reduced. However, there was no evidence that it had an effect on blood loss, as some investigations showed that hemoglobin and hematocrit levels were the same in both groups.
