Ayurvedic Management In Case of Vishwachi Cervical Radiculopathy: A Case Report
Abstract
Many Vatavyadhi therapies were proposed by Ayurveda. Cervical problems are similar to vata disorders. Thus, in the current investigation, vata management of medicinal oils is more effective for the clinical condition Vishwachi (Cervical Radiculopathy). A sickness known as Vishwachi has been documented in Ayurvedic texts as one of these illnesses. The symptoms of Cervical Radiculopathy, such as neck pain radiating to the upper limbs and restricted neck movements, have been explained in Harrisons Principles of Internal Medicine, Davidsons Principles of Internal Medicine.Vishwachi is a VatajaNanatmajaVyadhi member. Ruk, Stambha, Toda, Karmakshaya, and Chestapaharana of Bahu are signs and symptoms that afflict the neck and upper extremities, according to several Acharyas. According to Dalhana, the ailment is similar to Gridhrasi, a condition that affects the lower limb and is divided into two types: Vataja and Vatakaphaja. Vishwachi has a clinical appearance that is comparable to Cervical Radiculopathy, a degenerative disorder of the cervical spine. Nasya karma has been mentioned as the first line of treatment as an Urdhwajatrugatavikara. Dhatukshaya is a major element that contributes to the development of Vishwachi. As a result, in order to find an efficient solution in this situation, Nasya as a treatment protocol is used.
