Abstract

The extension of COVID-19 has been worldwide ever since the outbreak by December 2019, from China. Various approaches have been established for the detection of COVID-19 including radiological investigations (e.g. CT), sequencing of the whole genome and use of electron microscopy. This review is designed to discuss various investigative approaches as well as their significance in evaluation of SARS-CoV-2. The development of rapid diagnostics to manage SARS-CoV-2 outbreak will be beneficial for further prevention of the disease.
