The Effects of Hypertension on Iraqi Diabetic Patients Depending to the Sex and Age

Abstract

Hypertension, defined as a blood pressure more than 130/80 mmHg, is a very prevalent disease in diabetic patients, affecting about 20-60% of individuals, based on age, obesity, and ethnicity. It is a condition in which the blood pressure rises. This study was done between September and December of 2016. Three hundred individuals with diabetes mellitus were admitted to the outpatient clinic at the national diabetes center/AL-Mustansiriya university for this study. This research included patients in spectrum of age between 30-84 years old. Diabetes and hypertension are mutually beneficial and hence develop concurrently in the same people.
